Our Lineage
The MAJORES House
MAJORES™ (pronounced: mah-HOR-es) is a Caribbean-owned fashion house rooted in lineage and defined by craft.
The name MAJORES comes from Latin, meaning ancestors — those who came before. It’s a reference to continuity, inheritance, and the quiet authority that travels through generations. Culture, to us, isn’t something performed for attention. It’s something lived, carried, and passed forward with care.
But MAJORES is also personal. The name is a bridge between meaning and memory — shaped by my family, inspired by my children, and anchored by my mother. It holds both legacy and love in one word: what I come from, and who I’m building for.
Culture, Lived — Not Styled
Our work is shaped by Caribbean culture and lived experience. We draw from the everyday realities people don’t always articulate — resilience learned through repetition, humour sharpened by pressure, pride held quietly, and the ability to keep moving even when circumstances are tight. Those details inform everything we create.
MAJORES designs considered pieces — from apparel to everyday objects — that feel familiar without being obvious. Each item is guided by restraint, authenticity, and purpose. We don’t dilute culture to fit trends, and we don’t over-explain meaning. Our work is meant to stand on its own.
Made With Intention
Every MAJORES piece is held to the same standard:
- Cultural references grounded in authenticity and respect
- Clean, modern design suited for everyday use
- Quality-focused, print-safe execution built to endure
Minimal form. Maximum meaning.
A House Built on Legacy
MAJORES exists for those who understand that legacy isn’t loud — and resilience isn’t always dramatic. Often, it’s simply showing up again tomorrow, carrying what came before with quiet confidence.
This isn’t costume culture.
This isn’t trend-driven identity.
This is lived experience.
This is lineage.
This is belonging.
