The Story Behind MAJORES

The Story Behind MAJORES

Our Lineage — The MAJORES House

MAJORES™ is a Caribbean-owned fashion house rooted in heritage and defined by culture.

The name MAJORES comes from Latin, meaning ancestors — a reflection of continuity, inheritance, and the quiet authority carried across generations. It speaks to the understanding that identity is not created overnight; it is shaped over time and carried forward with care.

For us, lineage is both cultural and personal. The name holds the initials of those closest to me — my children and mother — a reminder that what we build is not only inspired by the past, but intended for the future.

What Shapes the Work

MAJORES is shaped by Caribbean culture and lived experience — resilience learned through repetition, humour sharpened by pressure, pride carried quietly, and the discipline to keep moving forward regardless of circumstance.

We create considered pieces — from apparel to everyday objects — that feel familiar without being obvious. Meaning is embedded, not announced. Culture is respected, not performed.

Made With Intention

Every MAJORES piece is guided by the same principles:

  • Cultural references grounded in authenticity and respect
  • Clean, modern design suited for everyday life
  • Quality-focused, print-safe execution built to endure
  • Minimal form. Maximum meaning.

Strength does not need spectacle. Legacy does not need volume. The work is meant to speak quietly — and last.

What This Represents

MAJORES is not about trends or performance. It is about presence — the quiet confidence that comes from knowing who you are and where you come from.

It reflects lived experience, not costume culture. Identity that does not need exaggeration. Meaning that does not need explanation.

This is lineage carried forward with care. This is belonging without performance. This is culture, worn with intention.
